Newark freshman pitcher Eastin McBroom was his typical efficient self Tuesday, throwing first-pitch strikes to 26 of 31 batters and striking out seven in a complete game shutout, leading the Norsemen past Somonauk 5-0 to win at least a share of the Little Ten Conference title.
