The Dixon City Council has approved an agreement with OSF HealthCare marking its commitment to providing care to low-income and uninsured patients.

The road was closed between Penn Corner Road north to Oregon, with traffic detoured onto Pines and Ridge roads.

The Byron 1,600-meter relay of Neve Schilling, Ashley Potter, Macyn Burris and Skylar Palmgren took home a first place with a time of 4:06. Finishing right behind in second were Stillman Valley’s Saundra Brodersen, Taylor Davidson, Alexandria Hoff and Mackenzie Lamb.

Members of the Oregon High School Ag Construction class spent Friday, May 16, 2025, building a mini-food center at Dixon Public Library. The center will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week for people to take the food they need.

Trustees voted 4-1 to donate the building to the Polo Area Community Theatre following a presentation by Hart DuBois, a PACT board member, who outlined how the not-for-profit group planned to raise enough money to keep the building viable as a performance venue.

Many World War II artifacts will be on display, including tanks, trucks and cannons.
